Sognefjord Winery
Steeped in Family & TraditionOur Norwegian Heritage
Sognefjord Winery may be new, but our history is rich with Norwegian ties. Sognefjord is the largest fjord in Norway, which is a long, narrow body of water that reaches far inland surrounded by steep sides and cliffs. Our winery is named after this specific fjord because of its connection to the Myklebust family history.

Our Wines
Inger, 2018 St. Pepin. $19
Inger, Norwegian for beautiful goddess. This 2018 sweet wine vintage presents a light fruity nose, is incredibly soft on the palate, and offers stonefruit and honey tones throughout. A tang of citrus on the finish helps balance out the sweet fruit flavors exhibited on the front. Wisconsin-grown Saint Pepin grapes.
Freya, 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon. $22
Freya, Norwegian for noblewomen. A bold, boisterous fruit on the front end with a snap of dry tannins on the finish. Pronounced plum, black cherry, and currant with hints of leather and cedar. A perfect accompaniment to red meat and tomato-based pasta dishes.
Astrid, 2023 Pinot Gris. $19
Astrid, Norwegian for divinely beautiful. This dry wine exhibits classic Pinot Gris flavors of pear, green apple and grapefruit. Light and crisp, it’s an easy-sipping wine. A great accompaniment to rich seafood dishes, creamy cheeses, as well as dark chocolate.
Torvi, 2018 Marquette Reserve. $22
Torvi, Norwegian for holy thunder. Our Marquette Reserve is crafted from Wisconsin-grown grapes and exudes the abundant flavors captured from this grape’s local terroir. The wine was aged for five years and presents both a tawny color & abundant tart cherry flavors. Smooth and robust, it concludes with a snap of tannins on the finish.
